Okmonitor is a program designed to fill a gap in the RISC OS save design.
When a classroom full of students try to save files in RISC OS they often bring up the Save Dialogue box and see the OK icon which is highlighted and they click on it fully expecting the program to save their file.
Unfortunately this doesn't happen if the file has not been saved before and the student is faced with an error message and usually the student will call on the teacher to explain what has happened and so disrupts the class.
Ideally the OK icon should be kept shaded until a valid pathname is in the save box field.
OKmonitor performs this function quickly and simply and so in school networks where it is currently in operation it has saved teachers a lot of wasted time.
OKmonitor works on any Acorn Risc computer with RISC OS 3.1, 3.5, 3.6 or 3.7 and StrongARM and uses 16K of RAM.
OKmonitor works with 99% of all the Acorn applications we tested and only a few non-standard applications didn't shade their Save Dialogue box OK icon.
